Basic system
We basically play Cover-One (Man-to-Man) with the 3 Defense Players (2 Defender & 1 Center) and a space-orientated defensive system with the 2 Wingers. With this defense System, we want to force the opponent to make poor decisions.
The aim of every basic system is to put the opponent under as much pressure as possible in a predefined zone.
It is the responsibility of the respective coach to decide how high to play and how much to play on the man.
Pressing:
Everybody of my Team can play a very aggressive pressing game. The aim of this is to put the opponent under constant pressure.
The ball does not always have to be won in the first action.
Pressing requires good physicality as well as a great deal of courage. It is characterised by a compact block and intelligent disruption without foul play.
The behaviour of an individual player against his direct opponent is the basis for defensive success.
The player is so well trained in individual tactics that he can assert himself against any opponent.
We seek out and win all direct duels. By pressurising space and time, we ultimately provoke the ball.
We encourage players with a strong mentality for winning the ball.
Successful defensive actions (shot block, winning the ball, winning a duel) are rewarded with positive body language.
This has a direct impact on the courage and determination of the whole team. We value these actions and attach great importance to them.
